The first thing you’ll notice about this frozen drink machine is that it is expensive. Frozen drinks will always be a bit of a specialty niche, but if you love them and you have plenty of friends who love them, this is the ultimate party drink gadget.
As with all Margaritaville frozen drink makers, the DM3000 produces beautifully shaved ice to make drinks with a perfect consistency and texture. The six automated drink settings on this model include Daiquiris, Mudslides, Mojitos, Margaritas, Smoothies and Coladas.
Operating the machine is hardly any more difficult than the more straightforward entry level models. You put your ice into the top reservoir, pour whatever ingredients you want to use into the blending jars, choose the type of drinks you want the machine to create and you’re off at the push of a button.
As with other models, there are separate blend and shave controls, so you can mix the drinks to your own custom consistency if you desire to do so.
The ice reservoir can hold enough ice to make up to 144 ounces of frozen drinks. To avoid watery drinks, melting ice is channeled away into a separate reservoir. Despite how daunting this machine may look, setting it up is easy and so is cleaning it.
Just watching the machine operate and blending drinks is a party activity all by itself. It truly is just as much fun to watch the Margaritaville DM3000 doing its job than it is to drink the results.
So, is it for you? If you host a lot of parties and have to make a lot of different frozen drinks, you’ll definitely want to consider the DM3000 over its smaller siblings, the DM1000 and DM2000. The fact that it can mix 3 different drinks on the fly is a huge time saver. Keep in mind that the machine is largely plastic, so don’t expect glass jars (which is perhaps a good thing towards the latter stage of a party when everyone has had a few too many frozen drinks).

If you’re a party animal and like to keep your guests wowed and entertained, this machine will get you all the attention you need. It’s a wonderful frozen drink maker and great entertainment as well. The 3 separate blending jars make it much more party friendly than any other machine in the Margaritaville line.
